We are pleased to be joining forces with the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub to host a Halloween-themed dance fundraiser tomorrow, Saturday, October 26th. Costumes are encouraged, but feel free to come as you are.
Suggested donations: $5 - $25 at the door will be split between the festival and MPAH. Located at 35 College Street, this is a new addition to Montpelier's performing arts venues. We are looking forward to hosting a program or two there during the next festival. Now is a time to come check out this unique venue.
This is an all-ages event. There will be concessions on sale and a cash bar hosted by our friends at Barr Hill. DJ XAVWAX will be spinning tunes--you may remember him from our Opening Night Party. We'll also have a couple door prizes, but you have to arrive to get in the drawing.
Christopher, Phayvanh, and Sam will be on hand to chat with you about the upcoming festival. And since this is a fundraiser, you can bring your checkbook with you and we would be happy to receive your gift.
We have a fundraising goal of $12,000 to help us secure the films for next year's program. If you're not able to come and would like to make a donation online, you can do so in one of two ways:

Screening Committee Members Sought
We have a couple openings on our screening committee. This is the group of folks who preview and help select the films for next year's festival. If you love movies, this is a great volunteer opportunity. We especially encourage Vermonters of color and diverse backgrounds.

Submit Your Film for 2025 Festival
Ours is a non-competitive festival, but we think all the films in our program are winners.
Do you have a film to share? Submit it so our screeners can review it.
GMFF accepts films from all genres by filmmakers of all backgrounds.
Films with premieres before March 2023 are not eligible. All films must be Montpelier, VT premieres and not currently available to stream online. If you have questions about eligibility, please contact programmer@gmffestival.org.
If your film is not in English, please submit it with English subtitles. Submissions close November 25, 2024.
