One week 'til the festival! Here's the schedule πŸ—“οΈ
The marquee at the Capitol Theater announces the festival.

You've asked for it: here is the schedule grid for the films so you can plan your weekend of movie watching! Please note that we have two screens on Thursday and Friday and three screens on Saturday and Sunday. Some film times will overlap. If you plan to stay for a post-screening Q&A, please plan an extra 15-30 minutes for that.

Four days of film programming across three screens March 14-17, 2024.

You may download and print off your own copy by clicking here. We should have the full program guide by the time the festival arrives. For more information about each film and to purchase tickets, please visit our online ticketing platform.

If you're looking for ways to use up your 5-ticket pack, here are a few suggested documentaries from our screening committee:

Richland

"A haunting documentary about the town that made the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki. Very well made, never over explained, ties together many narratives and perspectives about the bomb as well as comments more broadly on the US military industrial complex and the way working class Americans are abused by it."

Motherland

"It’s a privileged and personal insight into a place I otherwise know nothing about, as well as a thoughtful meditation on how power corrupts people and countries."

Queendom

"A gorgeous film centered around a queer performance artist navigating Russian society. The film never felt exploitative, a major critique I have of many documentary films. Intimate and honest, this film is sooo powerful."

Film sponsor for Queendom: Grass Queen

Thanks to our hospitality sponsors

People from the world over visit Montpelier because of its friendly atmosphere and top notch food scene. We'd like to thank our friends for housing and feeding our guests, volunteers, and festival-goers: Greenway Institute, Oakes & Evelyn, Three Penny Taproom, Hugo's Bar & Grill, and the Watt Family. If you are at any of these establishments this weekend, please let them know that you appreciate their support of the festival. πŸ₯° Of course, we can't forget the ever-popular tourist destination, our presenting sponsor Sarducci's Restaurant & Bar. πŸ₯‚

In-person ticketing will start next week.

A festival volunteer will be at Rabble Rouser, our festival hub, Monday & Tuesday from 12 to 2 and then on Wednesday 10-12 and 2:30-4. Look for the folks wearing their staff badges.

Phayvanh and others will be around to help you reserve your tickets all next week!

See you at the movies! 🎬
