Greetings friends,

Now is the time to give to the 24th Annual Green Mountain Film Festival - coming out of the cold to celebrate cinema and community in Downtown Montpelier March 13-16, 2025!

We are grateful for your gift at any level!

The now 24 year old Green Mountain Film Festival returned to Montpelier, Vermont in March 2024 after a 4 year hiatus. Since 1997, we have offered unique independent film programming in our downtown Montpelier and Central Vermont community โ€” showcasing narrative, documentary, and experimental features and shorts from all over the world!

Jane Schoenbrun, Director of I SAW THE TV GLOW, talking with the audience at Montpelier's Capitol Theater.
Local filmmakers Lukas Huffman, John R. Killacky, Sean Temple, Sarah Wisner, and Molly Longwell, talk with the audience at Montpelier's Savoy Theater.

Our public film submissions closed on December 15th over FilmFreeway with 105 submissions for the 2025 season! Our volunteer screening committee is hard at work now digging through the submissions to find the best of the best to bring home to the cinephiles of Central Vermont!

There's still opportunities for Sponsorships for the 2025 Green Mountain Film Festival and we'd love to partner with your business on sponsorship opportunities for 2025!

"I had a wonderful time at the festival. It was one of the most thoughtful and caring programming I have seen in a long time. Thank you to the entire team for hanging with us."
-Iva Gocheva, Actor & Filmmaker

We could use your help this coming year: the Green Mountain Film Festival relies on donations to fund a good portion of the operations. Please take the time now to make a donation in any amount to help keep the film reels turning!
