Friends, even with the best of plans, some things are liable to change last minute, and even though we thought we thought of everything. Below are a few important changes to the program, and some special events we want to make sure you know about.
Leonard Peltier Speaks | Fri, 6 PM | Capitol
Following Friday's showing of Free Leonard Peltier, Peltier will speak to the festival audience via pre-recorded video. As many of you know, Peltier was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences in 1977 and was only granted clemency this year. He will address the audience as a newly freed man. There are still tickets available to this show, which is sponsored by Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman and Central Vermont Community Radio (WGDH/WGDR).
Cancelled: Sowing Seeds Panel (not the movie)
This panel didn't come together as hoped, so it has been cancelled. Take the time to have dinner at one of Montpelier's fabulous restaurants before coming to see the movie Seeds on Saturday at 7 PM at the Capitol. Tickets are still available for the movie, which is sponsored by Salon Black Walnut and NOFA-VT.
Eephus Cast Q&A | Sun, 7 PM | Savoy Upstairs
Stay after the screening for a Q&A with cast members from the movie! Tickets are still on sale for this film, which is sponsored by AARP of Vermont.
Events from the Vermont Production Collective
Burlington This Is You | Sat, 4:45 PM | Savoy Downstairs
Join us for a preview of the unfinished work sample to test sample scenes, plot points and formal approaches. Followed by a Q&A with co-director Myles David Jewell, co-director/participant Lauren-Glenn Davitian, and producer/participant Meghan O’Rourke in attendance. There is still room in this free event.
Narrative Features in Vermont | Sun, 5 PM | Savoy Downstairs
The panel will cover areas of production like idea development, fundraising, assembling a team, working with community stakeholders, and more. There will also be an opportunity for questions from attendees. This is still room in this free event.

Let's Party, People!
Opening Night Celebration | 7-11 PM | Three Penny Taproom
Come by after your movie and join us to raise a glass to the 24th Green Mountain Film Festival. Noshes while they last. We will have program guides and can help you plan the rest of your weekend. This free drop-in event is made possible by Green Mountain Power.
APOLIS: Departure / Return
Menghan Wang and 23AD have curated a special weekend for you at the Crumb Factory, with documentary films and audiovisual installations that explore the Asian diaspora and the evolving cultural landscapes of Asia in recent years. All-vinyl DJ dance parties follow. If you missed this last year, now's your second chance. Schedule varies, more info and tickets can be found here.
Come find us at the Festival Hub inside KSherpa and see you at the movies!
