We are super excited to be joining you all for a fabulous festival weekend. We have created a schedule that allows folks to both watch movies and attend parties--below is a helpful guide to scheduling your Friday itinerary so you can take part in all Montpelier has to offer.
Note: for sold out shows, we will start waitlists 30 minutes prior to showtime, at the theater.
Friday Morning
Limited tickets are available to the following films:

Friday Evening
Worried about missing the party while you watch a movie? Not to worry! Tonight's party is drop-in with no planned programming, so come by after the movie, and tell us about the film you just watched! Do not miss these films.
Will, 4:30 PM, Savoy Upstairs - This is a restoration of Jessie Maples's 1981 film. It is the first feature directed by a Black woman in the United States. Sponsor: Minuteman Press.
Free Leonard Peltier, 6 PM, Capitol Theater - VERMONT PREMIERE - This is an essential history of violence against Native Americans in the US. The documentary released a week before Peltier's conviction was commuted. Sponsors: Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman, Central Vermont Community Radio (WGDR/WGDH)
78 Days, 6:30 PM, Savoy Upstairs - US PREMIERE - This reinvents the found footage technique and highlights the collective memory created by coming of age in the shadow of conflict. Sponsor: Good Girl Production Q&A with the filmโs digital specialist, Alex Wiske follows this screening only.
Note: 78 Days also screens on Sunday at 12 Noon.
Friday Parties
๐ฃ Join us for a casual meet up with tasty bites and a cash bar provided by our friends, Three Penny Taproom. This is a free drop-in event--a perfect place to gather after a day of movie watching. Come at your leisure after the film starting at 7 PM. Three Penny is located at 108 Main Street.

Apolis: "Departure / Return"
Returning again to compliment GMFF's 2025 programming is an exhibition and film screening curated by Menghan Wang and 23AD. There will be a full slate of movies from the Asian diaspora and its evolving cultural landscapes. Programming starts at 6PM. Dancing follows with all-vinyl DJ sets by Middle Management, Queens (Dial Records), Special Guest. Starts at 9 PM.
